Jennifer M. Cascio is a nationally recognized trial lawyer known for record-breaking verdicts and precedent-setting settlements in mass tort, product liability, catastrophic injury, and medical negligence cases. Over the course of her career, she has recovered more than $450 million for her clients.  

Jennifer joins Gould Grieco & Hensley with a distinguished record of results that have shaped the legal landscape of Illinois. She was part of the trial team that secured a $363 million jury verdict — the largest individual verdict in Illinois history at the time — for a woman who developed breast cancer after exposure to carcinogenic emissions from a sterilization plant. Later, Jennifer helped win a $32.7 million verdict for a man who lost his leg after doctors failed to recognize a life-threatening blood clot — still the highest award in Illinois for the loss of a limb. She also played a key role in obtaining a landmark settlement for football players hazed and abused at Northwestern University.  

Her experience is both broad and deep. Jennifer has served as national litigation and trial counsel for a multi-billion-dollar corporation, handling hundreds of cases in federal and state courts across the country — from wrongful death and personal injury to property damage and commercial disputes. Earlier in her career, she practiced at two international law firms, where she developed her reputation for managing high-volume, complex litigation.  

She’s also deeply engaged in the legal community. Jennifer is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
