Father Lawrence Mullins
Father Lawrence W. Mullins was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Diocese of Joliet in 1977. He served at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet (1977–1987), Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst (1987–1988), and St. Margaret Mary in Naperville (1989–1993). He was removed from ministry in 1993 and laicized in 2018.

- In May 2023, the Illinois AG’s Report identified Mullins among credibly accused Diocese of Joliet clergy, noting 12 reported survivors with alleged abuse from 1975 to 1989 primarily at St. Raymond in Joliet and Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst.
- In 2018, Mullins was laicized.
- In March 2006, Mullins was included on the Diocese of Joliet’s official list of clergy with credibly substantiated allegations.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet
The Diocese received its first complaint against Mullins in 1986 while he was still assigned to the Cathedral of St. Raymond. It allowed him to receive evaluation and therapy and remain in ministry until 1993, without referring any allegation to law enforcement.
