Father Raymond Skriba

Father Raymond Francis Skriba was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago in 1957. He served at multiple Chicago-area parishes, including St. Walter in Morgan Park. He was removed from public ministry in January 2003 and remained under monitoring until his death in January 2014. The Illinois AG’s 2023 Report identifies nine reported survivors.

What the Records Show

  • In May 2023, the Illinois AG’s Report identified Skriba among credibly accused Archdiocese of Chicago clergy, noting nine reported survivors and documented abuse from the 1960s through the early 2000s.

According to the Report, Skriba was accused of sexually abusing at least three teenage girls at St. Walter in Morgan Park in the 1960s. One survivor warned the Archdiocese about Skriba’s motives. The Archdiocese did not remove Skriba from ministry.
