Chicago Archdiocese accused of running ‘predator pipeline’ in lawsuit

Nov 25, 2025 | Press Highlights

GGH Attorney Mike Grieco represents the individuals who filed three lawsuits against the Archdiocese of Chicago regarding a so-called “predator pipeline.” The lawsuits alleged that the Archdiocese kept priests Daniel Mark Holihan and John William Curran in active ministry for decades, despite knowing about reports of child abuse. The complaints claimed the church repeatedly reassigned the men to different parishes and schools, such as St. Christina and Quigley Preparatory Seminary, allowing them continued access to children. Grieco stated that the church allegedly relied on a system of secrecy that put children in harm’s way.
