GGH filed an individual lawsuit in April 2026 on behalf of a former Contra Costa County juvenile detainee who alleged he was sexually abused while incarcerated. The plaintiff alleged he suffered abuse starting in 1998 when he was 12 years old while detained at Contra Costa County juvenile facilities at the hands of correction officers, doctors, and counselors. He allegedly faced intimidation and threats of retaliation for reporting the abuse.
