GGH Files Lawsuit in behalf of Over 100 Former Patients Against Universal Health Services Alleging Systemic Abuse at Illinois Behavioral Health Facilities.
The suit was filed on behalf of more than 100 former minor patients — ranging from eight years old to teenagers — and centers on Hartgrove Hospital and other UHS facilities in the state. It alleges staff forced patients to perform sexual acts on other minors, and that those who reported abuse were punished or ignored.
