A new lawsuit alleges that a child was sexually abused by staff at Hartgrove Hospital, a Chicago behavioral treatment center, during his time as a patient.
The plaintiff, identified as John Doe, told NBC News’ Yasmin Vossoughian that the abuse began when he was 11 years old. The suit names the hospital and its parent company, and Hartgrove has said it intends to fight the case.
